Quick and Honest Guide to Glow Up for Guys (No BS)
Hey there!
So, I've been on this journey for the past six months, and I wanted to share what I did to level up.
Let's dive in!
Step Zero: Mindset
I followed the steps in this personal journey for six months, and it's wild how my friends and family didn't even recognize me when I popped up in public.
Back in July 2020, I went MIA, ditching social media and cutting ties with toxic people.
It wasn't easy, but I kept telling myself it's never too late for change.
Step One: Skincare Routine
You know, taking care of your skin is a game-changer. People always look at your face first, right?
So, in the morning, I kept it simple – a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen.
Evening routine?
Same, but swapped sunscreen for retinol, which is like magic for clear skin.
Step Two: Good Hygiene
Consistent showers, paired with your go-to deodorant and cologne, contribute significantly to a positive aroma, boosting your confidence.
The impact is real – never underestimate the attention it draws from others.
Step Three: Hair
Finding the right haircut for your face shape is key.
I kept my hair routine easy – regular trims, minimal washing, daily conditioning, and a bit of styling with hair products.
Step Four: Facial Hair
If you can grow a beard, do it. It adds this masculine touch. Just trim it weekly to keep it fresh.
No beard?
Shave daily with a clipper, not a razor – it's gentler on the skin.
Step Five: Teeth
Twice-daily brushing and flossing are non-negotiable. Toss in a tongue scraper for good measure.
Oh, and if your lips get dry, go for a fluoride-free toothpaste – it's healthier.
Step Six: Lips
Chapped lips?
Say goodbye to chapped lips with this quick fix: whip up a simple scrub by combining honey and sugar, then follow up with your regular skin moisturizer or a touch of Vaseline for that extra hydration.
Step Seven: Clean Eyebrows
Elevate your look with well-groomed eyebrows.
Spend a minute trimming them for an instant boost in attractiveness.
Step Eight: Workout
Building muscle was my focus.
If you're unsure, consider a personal trainer or try the free program I put together for beginners.
No more excuses!
Step Nine: Clothing
Updating your wardrobe matters.
Wear what makes you feel good.
Stick to neutral colors like black, white, navy, blue, and brown.
Mental Aspect of Glow-Up
Now, let's talk mental health. Meditation, gratitude journaling, and good sleep – these things changed my life.
- Gratitude Journaling: Write down what you're thankful for every day.
- Sleep: Aim for 7-8 hours each night for better mood and fewer dark circles.
- Work Out: Exercise not only makes you attractive but also happier.
- Read Books: Swap your phone for a good book. I recommend 'The Almanac of Novel Ravic' for a positive mindset.
I use a Kindle for reading. I'm masculineio, here to help you be the best version of yourself.
